Research shows effective abuse and neglect prevention programs save children's lives. Effective programs motivate people to advocate for children, break the cycle of abuse and neglect, and decrease dollars allocated for reactive services and programs.

STEWARDS OF CHILDREN STEWARDS OF CHILDREN is 3-hour child sexual abuse prevention training. It educates adults to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. It is designed for the leadership, staff and volunteers of child-serving agencies and organizations, churches, schools and sports leagues. The curriculum includes a 75 minute video, interactive workbook and group discussion.
CARE House facilitates the Stewards of Children training in Montgomery County and the surrounding area. Since 2004, nearly 4,000 adults have participated in more than 250 training's provided by CARE House.

SHAKEN BABY SYNDROME I HAVE A PLAN
I HAVE A PLAN is a 60-minute Abusive Head Trauma (Shaken Baby Syndrome) prevention training. It teaches caregivers and parents important facts about Abusive Head Trauma and to recognize and cope with potential triggers that may cause frustration and stress, especially crying. The curriculum encourages caregivers and parents to develop a 3-part plan to prevent this form of child abuse from occurring .
